1. SWEET
FADE IN:
EXT. BLACK JEEP - 5TH AVENUE - rochester valley - EARLY EVENING
The sun bathes down upon an empty road in the middle of a corn field as a 2015 Jeep Wrangler slowly pulls off to the right side of the road, sliding 2 of it’s 4 wheels into the small rut that lays beside the road. The car turns off. birds fly over the road and chirp as The Boy flips the soft-top roof of the car over and proceeds to jump onto the roof. He unplugs his phone from the aux cord and powers it off, breathing a sigh of relief as the screen instantly turns to black. The boy tosses his phone into the passenger seat and swings his legs over as they hang above the front seats, and smiles.
the boy, a 19 year-old teen, 5’9, brown curly hair, sporting a XL white t-shirt and brown chino shorts, and a pair of custom DIY Sam Smith shoes
The sunset was brilliantly red and orange with splashes of yellow and purple scattered across the wide open sky. The clouds were like great wings of gold and yellow and rose-colour, with a smaller minute sprinkle in one spot, like a shower of glowing stones from a volcano. The blue sky was fading away but leaving it’s mark as droplets of cyan spread from the left side of the sky. Every sunset here was from a dream or a Jaden Smith music video.
The boy hops back down into the passenger seat in a crouching position, wrinkling his custom Stan Smith’s as he turns the car back on and turns on the radio just in time to catch his favourite radio show begin, 90.5 Aesthetic Sound. The station was popular for it’s unique selection of hip-hop and indie music, and the boy never missed a day without listening to the station
radio host
Welcome back to 90.5 Aesthetic Sound. It’s a hot July afternoon, the sun is on its way down and those honey skies are approaching, stay cool and we’ll catch you later
The boy closes his eyes, takes a deep breathe and tilts his head back as the music begins to pour out of the jeep speakers and into the atmosphere.

FADE to:
EXT. BLACK JEEP - 5TH AVENUE - rochester valley - DUSK
The boy watches as the sun finally descends past the tree line as it’s fiery amber glow disappears from his view. The remnants of the colours linger in the air as the bright oranges and yellows begin to darken into magentas and blues. The heat of the summer slowly begins to fade off as the cool breeze of the night began to take over, but it wasn’t cold, just chill. The boy reaches down and grabs his phone from the passenger seat, and turns the radio down. He swipes over to the voice notes app and turns it on
THE BOY
I’m here on 5th ave, looking at a very beautiful sunset, I just took a picture of it. I’m really good friends with my friends right now: Nico and Kyle, Jat, Kris, Matt, Ronny… Luis and Dan. There’s a lot of big plans for Young visionaries, this creative collective I’m working on. Theres a really beautiful sunset, there’s pink, purple, kind of like a gradient from blue to pink that’s insane right now. In the rear view it’s dark, but ahead it’s light, and it’s really pretty right now. With Savannah, we’ve been dating since October of 2018, I’m so, so happy.
The boy turns the dial back up and sits in the driver’s seat as he listens to the final song before the end of the sunset.
Once the song finishes, the boy grabs his phone once again and begins to talk into it once more.
THE BOY
I don’t know where this is going to go, if it becomes an album intro or uh, a recollection of a summer that I wanna have, that didn’t even make sense but, maybe I’m going to call a song or an album or something these 5th ave sunsets, but. These 5th ave sunsets are the most important thing to me because these are the really really cool moments of my life. Alright peace.
The boy turns off the recording and smiles. He dials a number and puts the phone up to his ear.
THE BOY
Hey it’s me, I’m on my way.

Sounds good, see you in 5
The boy plugs his phone back into his aux cord before taking one last look at the sunset, it’s changed significantly since he last looked at it. The colours have blended and the stars have started to find their way sprinkled throughout the night sky. The boy smiles and turns the radio station back on. The new host for the evening introduces himself and begins to play a song to start the evening portion of the show, “Around the clock” by Everett Champion. The boy turns his wheel and drive out of the rut that held his right tires in place and begins to cruise down 5th avenue as he looks down at a pair of drive-in tickets in his glovebox.
